no question is ever ignorant-

lets see how to explain steam

steam is basically when a line starts to move fast- it usually means a large number of bettors are drawn to one the side for some reason....

In short it is heavy action on one side

Are you from Mississippi?

Angelle,

Thanks for the explanation, I was trying to follow thread about Cascade and Rio in Offshore.

Can't say I'm from Tupelo, Mississippi - just took the posting name and city from a famous comedy character done by Richard Pryor.

I actually am in Atanta, but fortunately bit my tounge last week cause I saw some of your posts regarding LSU and for sure I thought Georgia would kick their ... Obviously I gotta lot to learn.

Thanks again for the explanation.

Steam - when a betting line starts to move quite rapidly. Most steam games do not necessarily reflect the right side, but are games where the majority of players decide to focus their attention and action.
